She wanted something that could be "added to" without restringing as her siblings are not yet married and she knew that additional grandchildren will be coming. She wanted a charm bracelet and this is the design that I came up with. I was really pleased with it and hope that the lucky Grandma will be too!

Happy Memorial Day!

With Memorial Day just around the corner I wanted to showcase a design that I did that would be perfect to wear on Memorial Day, the 4th of July or Labor Day! I love red, white and blue and showing Patriotism for our great country! I designed this piece for my sister as her wedding was on the 4th of July last year. I used Czech glass in red, clear and blue colors and added a star toggle clasp and three sterling silver charms to really showcase the Patriotic spirit of the design. I love the matching earrings too!

The price for this bracelet is $35.00 and the earrings, $10.00.

A Special Teacher...Gift!

Here in another great idea for an end of the year teacher gift! I designed this as a teacher gift for my nephew to give as a teacher gift. I made it with the school colors and a special teacher sterling silver charm. I think the key chain turned out nice and is "free of apples" which I know that every teacher would appreciate:-)

There are so many option to customized this key chain from using the school mascot to personalizing with the teacher's name (which is really nice when you lose your keys at school-trust me I know from experience:-)

This would make a nice end of the year gift, Christmas gift or Teacher Appreciation week gift!

The price for this piece is $15.00.

Jumbo Watch Face

I LOVE the Jumbo Watch Face Watch! Not only is it easy to read it is quite stylish. I designed this watch for a customer to give her Mother for Mother's Day. It is made of Swarovski Pearls and Crystals with a Silver Accent. I love the pearl/sapphire mix. She chose Sapphire's because it is her Mother's birthstone. When her mother opened it she said "she was never going to take it off" now that is an awesome compliment!

The price for this piece is $30.00.

(well I guess I am by marriage ;-)

We have a precious three year old son, Peyton who is the light of our lives! He is "all boy" and is playing soccer (I am officially a soccer mom)! It is the cutest thing I have ever watched :-) He was born in Guatemala and I stay at home with him.

I started beading when I was waiting on him to come home (thanks to my mom). When he came home I left my teaching career and I turned the hobby I love into a business and that is how MJennings Designs was born!

I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my son and have my own beading business!

A Blog Challenge...

I am taking part in a blog challenge. In the next few weeks I have agreed to review/spotlight 10 other WAHM's and share with you their work and blogs! I hope you have fun learning about the other WAHM's businesses and take a moment to check out their blogs and websites.

Chicks and Cubs

The first business that I want to share with you is called Chicks and Cubs. You can visit Chicks and Cubs at http://www.chicksandcubs.com/ This is a really neat business and one that I think is worth checking out! It is owned by Cynthia Powell. Cynthia started Chicks & Cubs in 1999 because she wanted to be home with her son and still have some sort of work interest.

She started the business with the Patty-Cakes(R) product line and has added other items that she loves along the way. Her husband's family has Patty-Cakes of their 4 children from over 45 years ago. The first time she saw them, she was hooked! She knew that Patty-Cakes(R) was the kind of keepsake that she would love to have when she had children. Years later she took her first son to have his Patty-Cakes done by the same family that did her husbands many years earlier. It was then that she discovered that Patty-Cakes(R) was a franchise type business. She was determined to start a Patty-Cakes business in her area and did in 1999.

I personally love the Patty Cakes(R) and would love to have one of Peyton's precious hands! Cynthia also offers Baby Shoe Bronzing and Photo Keepsake Boxes. I also want to get his baby shoes bronzed. They have a lifetime guarantee and she offers a wide selection of finishes from traditional bronze to pewter and ceramic. She also offers bookends which are my favorite!

In addition to special keepsakes she also offers a variety of Child Safety Products including Car Seat ID's, Physical ID's, Wallet ID's, DNA Fingerprint and Tooth print Safety Kits and More! I honestly think you can never be too safe with your children safety and with vacation season upon us I would recommend that you order a safety kit today!

Cynthia has a blog as well check it out at http://www.growing-up-fast.com

Check it out when you get a chance! She offers some great discounts and giveway opportunities!

Swarovski Crystals and Pearls- "Just Because"

I just love this classic design. I have sold so many of these in a variety of colors! I think they make a wonderful bridesmaid bracelet when using matching colors for the bridal party. They would also make a wonderful prom bracelet. I think the majority that I have sold however are "just because". I always like when a woman feels comfortable buying herself a piece of jewelry "just because she deserves it". Don't we all?

This bracelet is made with Swarovski pearls, crystals and rondelle's. It features an "adjustable" lobster claw clasp.

The price for this piece is $30.00

Initials Bracelets

I wanted to share with you two designs that I have recently completed featuring intials. I think they both turned out great! The first one used a color scheme of black, pink and clear swarovski crystals and features her son's three initials. I made this bracelet as a gift that will be given for Mother's Day.

The second bracelet is made of Sterling Silver and features two sets of initials and birthstones for each of the recipients two children. I really like both of these designs and it gives another option to a personalized name bracelet.

The price for the first bracelet is $30.00

The price for the second bracelet is $35.00
